Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILDE GOUNDRY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital. Remaining to cherish Hilde's memory are her sons, Steve (Pearl), Ed (Terry), John (Ida), Michael (Meghan); grandchildren, Derek (Jackie) and Madelynn. She will be sadly missed by numerous relatives, close friends and acquaintances. Hilde was predeceased by her beloved husband Fred; parents Anton and Maria and her brother Heinz. She was born September 14, 1936 in Heeren, Germany where she resided until moving to Canada in 1962. Hilde retired from St. Boniface Hospital's Laundry Department in 1998 with over 20 years of service. She was a hard working woman who was very honest and direct. She was always willing to help others. Her greatest joy was her family. The family would like to thank the incredible staff at the St. Boniface General Hospital's 4B Medicine unit. Please know that your commitment to our mother was so greatly appreciated and acknowledged. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 18, between 7:00-8:00 p.m. with Funeral Service commencing at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 19 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A private interment will be held on Friday in Elmwood Cemetery. Ich habe Tante Hilde sehr gemocht. 1976 oder 1978, kam sie nach Heeren zu Besuch mit Onkel Fred und meinem Cousin Michael. Wir hatten viel zu erzählen und war traurig, als sie wieder zurück nach Winnipeg fliegen mussten. Meine drei anderen Cousins Freddie, Eddie und David habe ich leider nie kennengelernt und wünsche mir so sehr Kontakt zu Ihnen 🙏🏻 Tante Hilde konnte laut lachen und schimpfen, so war sie 😂 Sie war zu 100% authentisch, das mochte sehr an ihr! Als ich Jugendliche war haben wir uns regelmäßig geschrieben, als ich mit 19 Jahren geheiratet hatte, brach meinerseits der Kontakt ab. Das bedauere ich sehr 😔 Liebe Tante Hilde, in meinem Herzen lebst du weiter...
